ShareBears This program is going to be a competition, much like the blood drive, within Residence Halls, Greek organizations, and other organizations. The winner in each category will receive a prize. The program has two parts. The first part is collecting the bears. We are going to be collecting stuffed animals (new or used) in many locations across campus. Pay attention for updates on this, and we will make sure you get the bears where they need to be . The second part is raising funds. We are asking that funds be raised either as flat donations or on an amount per bear donated basis (or however else you creatively want to do it). Ryan Childres, the Director of University Advancement, will be distributing envelopes for fund collecting to various individuals from organizations (so you'll get one). If you don't get an envelope, just email Ryan at Childress767@missouristate.edu! The program is going to take place between October 22nd - October 26th (the week after Fall Break). If you just wish to donate, or wish to use a credit card, please donate using the following link:

Student Fees On Tuesday, March 6 the Student Government Association agreed on our position on tuition and fees for the 2007-2008 academic year. We have endorsed the administration's call for a 3.5% tuition increase. Also, we have asked that student fees be raised $30 per student per semester to begin work on the university recreation center, in accordance with the student body referendum earlier this year. We have requested that the Student Computer Usage Fee (SCUF) be lowered by $2 to because of the upcoming termination of the CDigix music downloading service. These recommendations will be made to the Board of Governors in Friday, March 9 by Student Body President Sean Cain. The relevant SGA resolutions are GB Spring 2007 - 7 (Microsoft Word) and GB Spring 2007 - 8 (Microsoft Word).
